VW SLOGAN BRAWL WINNER OF 1 STUDENT ADDY AWARDS

There is an interesting story behind this piece. When I was developing my VW rebrand campaign, I made a whole slew of pieces for it. The very first piece I made had the slogan "A Vehicle For Every Season" on it. Somehow, on the rest of the pieces, it morphed into "Vehicles For All Seasons". During final review, somebody took a look at the whole campaign, noticed the inconsistencies, and posed the question "Well, which is it?". When I saw the problem, I was mortified, because not only did "A Vehicle For Every Season" make more sense, it sounded better, and everybody else in the review agreed. Since this was second-to-last day of the class, redesigning every piece in the campaign was impossible. So my professor suggested I make a piece showing the two slogans clashing with each other in some way, shape, or form. I thought, what better way to do that than an old school boxing poster? And so, the VW Slogan Brawl poster was born.
